Job summary

Environmental Management Inc. is seeking a Safety Coordinator to advance a comprehensive safety program across all operations in Central Ohio.

The role ensures OSHA compliance, conducts site inspections, and leads training initiatives to foster a safe work environment. Responsibilities include incident investigations, hazard identification, trend reporting, and collaboration with Operations to address safety concerns.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish (spoken and written).
• Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• OSHA knowledge preferred.
• OSHA 10- or 30-Hour Certification preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
• Experience in construction or landscaping environments preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/365.

Responsibilities

• Promote a culture of safety and accountability across all levels of the organization.
• Conduct routine inspections of job sites, facilities, vehicles, equipment, and tools.
• Identify hazards, document findings, and recommend corrective actions.
• Perform safety audits and maintain detailed records.
• Prepare reports highlighting trends and areas for improvement.
• Coordinate and deliver safety training programs and toolbox talks.
• Respond to workplace incidents and assist with investigations.
• Collaborate with Operations to address safety concerns.
