Job summary

Harris Health System, Inc. seeks a Nurse Clinician II (NCII) to provide skilled nursing care in alignment with Texas Nursing Practice Act and Harris Health Nursing Service standards. The NCII will independently manage common patient problems in their assigned area while seeking resources as needed.

The role requires Texas RN licensure, BLS, and a minimum of one year RN experience or GN program completion. Bilingual abilities are preferred, with flexible on-call and weekend/holiday coverage as

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
• Diploma in Nursing; Graduate from an accredited school of Nursing.
• Registered Nurse; Licensed to practice nursing in the State of Texas.
• Basic Life Support from an American Heart Association (AHA) or Red Cross approved program.
• Other certificates as required by unit/service.
• One (1) year full time RN experience or completion of GN Program.
• Bilingual Skills Preferred.
• Knowledge/Skills/Abilites: Mathematics, Medical Terms.

Responsibilities

• The NCII has knowledge to meet standards for professional practice; independently manages patients in assigned area.
• Recognizes when they need assistance and seeks appropriate resources.
• Provides safe, competent care within standard protocols and algorithms.
