William F Ryan Community Health Cen in New York is seeking an experienced registered nurse to provide clinical nursing in ambulatory settings, triage patients, assist practitioners, and educate patients. This full-time role supports the Ryan Health network with patient-focused care.

The position requires an Associate’s Degree in Nursing, valid NY RN license, CPR, and phlebotomy certification, with duties including vital signs, injections, EKGs, immunizations, and charting in electronic medical

Competenze

Two years of experience in ambulatory setting (emergency room, clinic or health center).
Strong organizational skills and ability to think clearly and to work in a busy clinic.
Working experience with electronic medical records software.
Strong skills in MS Word and Outlook.

Mansioni

Triage, discharge, interview, counsel and teach patients; document observations in medical records.
Obtain vital signs, assess pain, BMI, and administer medications per practitioner orders.
Perform procedures such as EKGs, hearing and vision tests, bone density, and blood glucose.
Assist providers with examinations and minor surgery; participate in diagnostic testing and treatments.
Order medications, immunizations, and supplies; maintain controlled substances records.
Process laboratory tests, referrals and x-ray requisitions; retrieve reports.
Maintain clinical equipment, prepare exam rooms and ensure supplies are available.
Follow National Patient Safety Goals and OSHA standards; ensure infection control.
