Fiesta Mart in Houston Braeswood is seeking a Utilities Clerk to assist customers by bagging groceries and carrying out shopping tasks as needed. The role involves maintaining a clean, safe store, retrieving carts, and supporting price checks and checkout maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires bilingual Spanish/English abilities, basic PC/Outlook skills, and the ability to lift up to 60 pounds. Training and equal opportunity employment are provided.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one-on-one or small group settings to customers and staff.
• Follow written or oral instructions with common sense.
• Lift up to 25 lb regularly, up to 45 lb often, up to 60 lb occasionally.

Responsibilities

• The Utilities Clerk will bag groceries for customers when needed.
• Carry out groceries for customers upon request.
• Perform store maintenance to keep the store clean and safe.
• Maintain and retrieve store carts, run price checks, assist with go-backs, and upkeep check stands.
• Remove waste from the parking area.
• Work environment is fast-paced with physical requirements including standing, walking and lifting.
