Job summary

Verizon is seeking a full-time Retail Sales Associate in San Jose who speaks Spanish and English to drive sales and deliver exceptional customer service. You will explore customer needs, present solutions, and close sales while growing your knowledge through ongoing training and store-wide responsibilities.

This role offers a base pay of $16.00–$21.00 per hour plus potential commissions, extensive benefits from day one, and opportunities to engage with the community and customers at events.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• One or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through work experience and/or military experience.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (schedule known four weeks in advance).
• Openness to pick up additional shifts and earn more income, typically during peak vacation periods.
• Bilingual in Spanish (English and Spanish required).

Responsibilities

• Generate retail sales by using your passion for cutting-edge technology and exceptional customer service.
• Learn and uncover customers' needs by creating connections and asking the right questions.
• Position product insights and solution recommendations to provide customers with a complete top-down sales solution.
• Close sales by using communication skills to fulfill customer needs with simple tech solutions.
• Develop yourself through ongoing training and up-skilling in merchandising and inventory.
• Possibly engage with current Verizon customers via outbound calls/texts to grow your base.
• Represent Verizon at community events to expand your loyal customer base.
