Youth Transforming Justice is seeking a Bilingual Restorative Justice Coordinator in California to support 5th–12th grade students with social-emotional learning and mentorship. You will work with families and school staff, provide trauma-informed guidance, and deliver harm-reduction education.
The role emphasizes early intervention, case management, and cross-cultural communication to ensure students receive coordinated care and access to community resources. In-person work is required.
We believe the best way to disrupt the school-to-prison pipeline is to transform traditional, punitive school discipline and juvenile justice systems into restorative, trauma-informed, and peer-driven solutions where youth can reflect and learn from mistakes, repair damage, relationships harmed, and move forward successfully. Working in collaboration with youth, schools, community organizations, and probation departments, we envision safer communities where youth stay in school, schools cultivate a greater sense of personal connection, safety, and accountability, and youth exercise authentic agency in their lives and neighborhoods.
We’re seeking an enthusiastic facilitator who puts youth first. In this role, you’ll support 5 th through 12 th grade male students with hands-on social-emotional learning. You’ll lead small groups, helping them build emotional regulation, resilience, and strong peer relationships through group discussions, daily reflections, and activities.
You will teach students and their families about the risks of drug use. You will share tools for prevention. You will also teach harm reduction (methods used to reduce bad health and social results of drug use, such as safe medicine storage and overdose rescue training).
As a Bilingual Restorative Justice Coordinator, you’ll focus on early intervention, mentorship, and drug education for students who need extra support.
