Job summary

Celerion is seeking a full-time Nurse to support clinical research trials in Tempe, Arizona. This dynamic role works with a healthy population and offers the opportunity to learn about clinical research and observe the drug development process at work.

The nurse will perform essential clinical tasks and participate in training clinical associates on ECG procedures and safety reporting, ensuring high-quality participant care throughout study conduct.

Qualifications

• RN license in practicing state required.
• 1 year of clinical practice experience with assessment skills.
• CPR certification current.
• Emergency/ICU medical experience preferred.
• EMT-P or Respiratory Tech with ACLS or other emergency experience desirable.
• Exposure to human biological samples.
• Strong assessment and reasoning skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing tasks: vital signs, ECGs, blood draws, etc.
• Train clinical associates on ECG procedures and adverse event reporting.
• Perform other clinical procedures necessary for study conduct.
• Certified to perform, monitor, and/or train invasive and non-invasive dosing procedures.
• Assess and report adverse events to medical staff (safety nurse, medical director, physician).
• Able to implement and execute emergency procedures.
• May administer Informed Consent Forms.

• Celerion is seeking a Full-time Nurse to assist with our clinical research trials. This is a dynamic role working with a healthy population offering the ability to learn about clinical research and see the drug development process at work.

Essential Functions

• Qualified to perform all nursing tasks (vital signs, ECGs, draw blood, etc)
• Train clinical associates on Electrocardiogram (ECG) procedures, manual vital procedures and assessment skills related to reporting Adverse Events (A/E's)
• Perform other clinical procedures necessary for study conduct
• Certified to perform, monitor, and/or train invasive and non-invasive dosing procedures
• Assess and identify and report adverse events to medical staff (safety nurse, medical director, physician)
• Able to implement and execute emergency procedures
• May administer Informed Consent Forms

Knowledge/Skills/Education/Licenses

• RN (licensed in practicing state)
• 1 year of clinical practice experience with assessment skills
• Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic (EMT-P) or Respiratory Technician with Advanced cardiac life support or other emergency experience desirable
• Emergency or Intensive Care medical experience preferred
• Current CPR certification
• Ability to respond to study participant needs (i.e. lifting, bending, crouching, etc.)
• Exposure to human biological samples
• Strong assessment skills
• Strong reasoning skills
