Job summary

Foodsmart is seeking compassionate Registered Dietitians with active New York credentials to join our Nutrition Network. You will provide virtual Medical Nutrition Therapy and personalized care to members, including Medicaid participants facing food insecurity.

Candidates must reside in the United States. This 100% remote role offers flexible scheduling, onboarding pay, and the opportunity to impact health equity by improving access to nutritious foods.

Qualifications

• Active credentialing as a Registered Dietitian by the CDR.
• RD state licensure in your state of residence (if applicable).
• Willingness to obtain state licenses in high-demand states (reimbursed).

Responsibilities

• Deliver Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) virtually to members.
• Provide personalized virtual nutrition care via secure video and messaging.
• Help members stretch their food budgets and access affordable groceries.
• Connect members with local nutrition resources and the online marketplace.
• Support sustainable healthy eating habits for families.

About the role:

Foodsmart is seeking compassionate and mission-driven Registered Dietitians (RDs) with active Certifications in New York to join our growing Foodsmart Nutrition Network. As a Foodsmart RD, you’ll deliver virtual Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) and personalized care to members—many of whom are Medicaid participants or facing food insecurity.

This is a unique opportunity to make a measurable impact on health equity—empowering individuals and families to live healthier lives through access, affordability, and education.

Candidates must reside in and work within the US.

You Will:

• Help members stretch their food budgets and make the most of what they have

• Deliver MNT to manage or prevent chronic conditions
• Provide personalized virtual nutrition care via secure video and messaging

You Have:

• Active credentialing as a Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR)
• RD State Licensure in your state of residence (if applicable)
• Willingness to obtain state licenses in high-demand states (reimbursed by Foodsmart)
• Ability to work in the U.S.
• A computer, high speed internet and a smart phone
• At least 10 hours of weekly availability for patients (weekends and evenings count!)

$52 - $52 an hour

$52 for a 1-hour visit; $13 per 15-minute unit for Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT).
