Job summary

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare is looking for a Bilingual Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) in Jersey City, NJ. Job description

Bilingual Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Neuropath Behavioral Healthcare provides Comprehensive Youth and Family Support Services to primary caregivers of children and teens with developmental and intellectual disabilities. Serving the state of New Jersey, we are looking for part‑time Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to join our team.

Roles & Responsibilities

A RBT will visit the client at home or in the community to provide relief to caregivers and holistic support to youth. RBTs typically work 2–20 hours weekly in 2–4 hour shifts starting after 3 pm during the school year and as early as 8:30 am during the summer. Services are available any day of the week to accommodate the scheduling needs of our clients.

  • Will work with both Respite Care and Behavioral Assistant cases
  • Implement and develop interventions from Individual Support Plans—including environmental arrangement, proactive strategies, acquisition of functional skills (including ADLs), and reduction of problem behaviors
  • Submit visit notes promptly following each session in accordance with organizational and compliance guidelines
  • Maintain compliance with service authorization timelines
  • Engage in crisis prevention, recognition, and intervention
  • Follow and implement agency policies
  • Participate in required trainings
  • Work in-home, in-community, and in-center (Orange Twp)

Qualifications
  • Valid Registered Behavior Technician certification
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. (no visa sponsorship available)
  • Must complete the NJ CSOC Behavioral Assistant Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Must be working toward receiving a Registered Behavior Technician certification within 6 months of hire
  • Initiative to frequently check emails for admin communications
  • Valid New Jersey Driver’s license
  • Must pass all state and federal background checks
  • Pre‑employment, post‑conditional job‑offer drug screen required for this role
