Job summary

Forest Grove Foundation is hiring a Bilingual Certified Recovery Mentor / Peer Support Specialist to join our team in Forest Grove, OR. The role focuses on compassionate, trauma-informed support for individuals in recovery, with outreach, navigation of housing and health services, and collaboration with local partners.

We seek candidates with 2+ years of CRM/peer support experience, lived recovery experience, and CRM or related certification.

Qualifications

Has 2+ years’ experience working as a CRM or Peer Support Specialist
Identify as having at least 2 years of lived experience in recovery from addiction
Actively maintaining a program of recovery during employment
Certification of CRM and/or Adult Addictions Peer Support Specialist training approved by MHACBO & Oregon Health Authority
Valid Driver's License and clean driving record for client transport
Intermediate computer skills and familiarity with Microsoft, Apple, and Google products
Ability to pass pre-employment background check and references check

Responsibilities

Walk alongside participants on their recovery journey, offering encouragement and advocacy
Engage in outreach to connect with individuals in the community
Accompany participants to appointments and recovery activities
Help navigate systems and resources and collaborate with partner organizations
Contribute to Recovery Café programming and harm reduction efforts
Use trauma-informed practices and motivational interviewing to set goals and develop recovery plans
Maintain confidentiality and professional records of interactions
