Bilingual Receptionist & Operations Associate (All SAFE Campuses)

SAFE Alliance seeks Bilingual Receptionist & Operations Associates for the General Operations Program in the Operations Department. The role involves providing reception coverage across campuses, delivering excellent customer service, and assisting employees, volunteers, and clients in a customer-focused manner. The position requires manual dexterity to operate phones, computers, and office equipment, with reasonable accommodations provided.

About SAFE Alliance

The SAFE Alliance aims to end abuse by serving survivors of child abuse, sexual assault, exploitation, and domestic violence. We focus on prevention, advocacy, and comprehensive services for affected individuals, families, and communities. Our outreach has trained over 7,000 community members, and our shelter programs have provided over 46,000 nights of care, directly aiding over 3,000 individuals. We also offer a 24/7 SAFEline for crisis intervention.

Position Details

This full-time, non-exempt position offers an hourly salary of $21.20, with an additional $1.73/hour bilingual differential for English/Spanish speakers. The work location is at our campuses in the Austin metro area, with some community or campus travel required. Remote or hybrid work is not available.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Experience in customer service and multi-line phone systems preferred.
  • At least 3 years in a fast-paced administrative role or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency with database systems and Microsoft Office Suite preferred.
  • Ability to operate office equipment manually, with reasonable accommodations.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, with clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Visual acuity sufficient for reading and editing documents in standard fonts.
  • Ability to sit and stand for extended periods, and lift or push up to 20 lbs.
  • Willingness to work in varied conditions, including outdoor and potentially hazardous environments.
  • Valid Texas Driver's License, with at least 3 years of driving experience and a clean driving record, or 1 year if over 27.
  • Successful background checks, pre-employment drug screening, and TB testing.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 policies and vaccination encouraged.
