Bilingual Receptionist & Operations Associate (All SAFE Campuses)

SAFE Alliance is seeking a Bilingual Receptionist & Operations Associate for the General Operations Program in the Operations Department. This role provides reception coverage on both campuses, emphasizing excellent customer service and professionalism. The position values diversity and requires a customer-focused approach when assisting employees, volunteers, or clients. With reasonable accommodations, the role involves manual dexterity to operate phones, computers, and other office equipment.

About SAFE Alliance:

SAFE Alliance aims to end abuse for everyone by serving survivors of child abuse, sexual assault, exploitation, and domestic violence. We focus on prevention, advocacy, and providing comprehensive services to individuals, families, and communities affected by abuse.

In the past two years, our outreach and education have delivered over 400 trainings to more than 7,000 community members. Our housing and shelter programs have provided over 46,000 nights/days of care, serving over 3,000 youth and adults. Additionally, we have handled over 10,000 contacts through calls, chats, texts, walk-in advocacy, and crisis interventions via our 24/7 SAFEline.

We are looking for one full-time, non-exempt employee with an hourly salary of $21.20, depending on experience, plus an additional $1.73/hour for bilingual English/Spanish speakers. The work location is at our major SAFE Campuses in the Austin metroplex, with some travel between campuses and community sites. Remote or hybrid work is not offered for this position.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in related fields preferred.
  • Experience in customer service and with multi-line phone systems preferred.
  • At least 3 years in a fast-paced administrative role or equivalent education and experience.
  • Proficiency with technical programs, especially database systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Manual dexterity to operate office equipment with reasonable accommodations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English; fluency in Spanish and English is REQUIRED.
  • Ability to draft, review, and comprehend materials in font size 10 or larger.
  • Capacity to sit and stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work in varied conditions, including adverse environments and safety hazards.
  • Valid Texas Driver’s License and driving experience (minimum 3 years or 1 year if over 27) with a clean driving record.
  • Pass criminal background checks, drug screening, and TB test as required.
  • Compliance with COVID-19 policies; vaccination is encouraged.
