Job summary

Everett Ship Repair is seeking a QA & Nondestructive Testing Welding professional to support the QA department through NDT, welding inspections, and quality verification on commercial and government vessel projects. You will document results, coordinate with third-party providers, and help strengthen in-house NDT capabilities.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and ASNT Level II or equivalent training, plus experience inspecting welds in shipyards or marine settings.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical training preferred.
• ASNT Level II certification (VT/MT/PT/UT) or ability to obtain.
• Experience inspecting welds in fabrication, shipbuilding, or marine work.
• Ability to read drawings, weld symbols, specs and inspection requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform UT, VT, MT, PT and other qualified NDT exams per procedures.
• Conduct welding inspections to verify procedures, drawings, specs and codes.
• Inspect welds for workmanship, discontinuities, dimensions, and code compliance.
• Document inspection results and prepare inspection reports.
• Coordinate with third-party NDT providers and witness inspections.
• Support welder qualification testing and WPS/PQR activities.
• Maintain inspection records, calibration records, and quality documentation.
• Assist in developing Everett Ship Repair's in-house NDT program.
