Job summary

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Temporary Customer Service Guide (Public Benefits Specialist, Entry), in Tillamook, OR. This on‑site role supports families by answering questions about medical, TANF, SNAP, and other programs, with a trauma‑informed approach.

The position is temporary for six months, with bilingual Spanish/English preferred. You will handle data entry, front-desk duties, and coordinate information to help applicants access community resources and services.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience interviewing to obtain personal or technical information.
• This experience must have involved a high volume of paperwork.
• College-level courses may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist Oregonians through a trauma-informed lens.
• Support day-to-day office operations and virtual/phone inquiries.
• Help applicants for medical, TANF, SNAP, ERDC, and other programs.
• Perform data entry, filing, and mail management.
• Collaborate in a rotating team to meet office needs.
