Job summary

Chedraui USA is seeking a Produce Clerk in Houston to assist customers in Spanish or English and help maintain fresh produce displays. You will support the Produce Manager, answer questions, and ensure accurate labeling and pricing on shelves.

The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 60 lbs, and performing routine stocking and merchandising tasks in a fast-paced retail environment at Store Location: 5800 Lyons Ave., Houston, TX 77020.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish and English; interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information in one-on-one and small group situations effectively.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed but uncomplicated instructions.
• Physical ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform other tasks described.

Responsibilities

• Work under direct supervision of the Produce Manager to provide excellent customer service.
• Assist customers, answer questions in Spanish or English, and provide product information.
• Clean, fill, and rotate produce displays.
• Maintain accurate product labeling, pricing codes, and shelf tags.
• Present information to customers in one-on-one and small group situations.
• Follow instructions and use common sense to carry out tasks.
• Maneuver produce and other items, regularly lifting up to 25 lbs, frequently lifting up to 45 lbs, and occasionally lifting up to 60 lbs.
• Stand, bend, stoop, walk, and kneel for prolonged periods.
