Job summary

Chedraui USA in Houston, TX, is seeking a Grocery Clerk - 009 Houston-Jensen to provide friendly, courteous service and assist customers while keeping displays clean and organized.

Under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager, duties include cleaning display cases, rotating self-serve displays, and stocking shelves. The role requires the ability to lift up to 60 pounds and to work nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Read and write Spanish/English, interact with the general public and co-workers.
• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Present information clearly in one-on-one and small group settings to customers and coworkers.
• Apply common sense to follow detailed but straightforward instructions.
• Regularly lift up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, courteous, and helpful service to customers under direct supervision of the Grocery Manager.
• Clean display cases and shelves and rotate self-serve displays.
• Assist customers and maintain a clean, organized store environment.
• Must be able to work various hours including nights and weekends.
• Comply with safety and store policies.
