Job summary

Doña Ana County is seeking a Probation Compliance Assistant to monitor offenders convicted of misdemeanors and ensure adherence to court-ordered sanctions. The role involves communicating with offenders by phone, in person, and in writing, and coordinating with courts and agencies.

You will prepare violation reports, participate in hearings, and maintain comprehensive records. A Bachelor's degree and bilingual English/Spanish are required, along with driving privileges and background checks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Psychology, Social Work, Criminal Justice or Criminology, Family and Consumer Science, Counseling, Law Enforcement Studies, or related field.
• Two years of case management experience in supervised probation or similar justice role preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record per County policy.
• Pre-employment background and driving record check.

Responsibilities

• Monitor misdemeanor offenders on supervised probation to ensure compliance with court-ordered Judgment and Sentence.
• Prepare and submit probation violation or revocation reports to the District Attorney’s Office; testify as needed.
