Job summary

The Center for Alcohol and Drug Resources (TCADR), a program of Children’s Aid and Family Services (CAFS), seeks a full-time prevention specialist to implement evidence-based curricula across Bergen and Passaic Counties. You will facilitate school, family, and community programs, prepare materials, and maintain partner relationships.

Some evenings and weekends are required; bilingual preferred. Relocation to Fair Lawn, NJ is expected for in-person work.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in public health, sociology, psychology, education, or related field.
Bi-lingual strongly preferred.
Willing to work towards CPS certification.
Well-organized with excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to work with diverse cultural/economic/racial backgrounds and orientations.
Strong facilitation/classroom management skills.
Some evenings and occasional weekends required.

Responsibilities

Implement evidence-based prevention curriculums for youth, adults, families and older adults in Bergen and Passaic Counties.
Facilitate school, family, and community-based programs.
Prepare materials for programs and presentations.
Maintain relationships with community partners and funders.
Keep detailed records and reports.
