Job summary

Chicanos Por La Causa, Inc. is seeking a dedicated staff member to provide temporary classroom coverage for children aged 0–5 in the HELP NM ECD Program.

You will support daily routines, activities, meals, and transitions, ensuring a safe and nurturing learning environment while upholding program standards. Ideal candidates are bilingual in English/Spanish, possess a High School Diploma or GED, and are willing to obtain a CDA within six months.

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED and must pursue CDA within 6 months of hire.
• Some experience working with young children preferred.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred; TB test or Chest X-ray may be required.

Responsibilities

• Provide temporary classroom coverage for children ages 0–5 in the HELP NM ECD Program.
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and supervision to maintain a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Support readiness and development while following Head Start and state regulations.
• Supervise children by sight and sound and uphold health and safety practices.
