Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or higher and related childcare experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field is acceptable.
• Familiarity with Texas Minimum Standards for Child Care Centers and safety policies preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a minimum of 30 hours of child-care-related training each year.
• Complete CPR and First Aid training every 2 years.
• Attend meetings and school events.
• Arrive and leave at scheduled hours.
• Comply with all policies and procedures for NWSS and state requirements.
• Demonstrate good judgment and self-control around children.
• Relate to children with courtesy and respect; practice responsive care.
• Provide care aligned with each child's habits and needs.
• Perform diapering and classroom duties as required.
• Ensure a safe, risk-free environment.
• Use technology to communicate with parents and school management.
• Collaborate with coworkers and adapt to changes.
• Communicate in English and Spanish with parents and staff.
• Respect diverse backgrounds of children and families.
