Job summary

Northwest Spanish School in Cedar Park, TX seeks a passionate Lead Teacher for the PreK4 classroom on a part-time basis (8:30 am–2:00 pm). The role collaborates with a United Way mentor under a PK partnership with Round Rock ISD, implementing a curriculum that weaves Spanish language, literature, and culture into daily learning.

The candidate will plan activities, adapt materials for individual needs, and communicate with families through the school app, maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Education is required.
• 8+ years of Early Childhood experience with an unrelated degree is acceptable.
• Active enrollment in an ECE program may be considered.
• Montessori Certification or CDA is preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish and English proficiency is required.

Responsibilities

• Plan age-appropriate activities to meet standards.
• Modify curriculum to serve individual student needs.
• Understand the four domains of learning.
• Apply second-language acquisition teaching methods.
• Follow policies and standards including state requirements.
• Manage a classroom of fifteen 4-year-olds.
• Send daily communications to parents via school app.
• Prepare weekly classroom newsletters for parents.
• Attend weekly planning, professional development, events, and meetings.
• Maintain a safe and risk-free classroom environment.
• Collaborate with United Way mentors per PK partnership.
