Job summary

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED, 48 college hours or equivalent qualification, and a valid Texas educational aide certificate. The position involves instructional and student management duties and requires regular in-person presence.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must have 48 college hours or be considered highly qualified through completion of a state approved program.
• Valid Texas educational aide certificate.
• Experience working with children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher with instructional materials and displays.
• Administer and score tests and assignments.
• Maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
• Assist with inventory and maintenance of equipment.
• Maintain administrative records and prepare required reports.
• Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground.
• Keep teachers informed of students’ special needs.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Participate in professional development activities to stay current with rules and practices.
• Follow district safety procedures.
• Must be present regularly in person.
