Job summary

Agile Occupational Medicine in California is seeking a Physical Therapist Technician to support licensed Physical Therapists in delivering patient care. You will help with preparation, patient intake, documentation, and clinic maintenance under supervision.

You will assist with exercises, education, and equipment, handle basic treatments, and perform administrative tasks such as scheduling. Bilingual Spanish required; compensation ranges $22-$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/BLS certification preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of physical therapy principles and techniques.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and medications.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Outpatient or previous healthcare setting experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish required.

Responsibilities

• Support Physical Therapists in preparing treatment area, equipment, and materials for patient care.
• Prepare patients for physical therapy treatment by welcoming and assisting into apparel.
• Assist patients with exercises, transfers, and support during treatments.
• Educate patients regarding physical therapy treatments and exercises, including equipment use.
• Observe patients performing prescribed exercises and report concerns.
• Document patients' responses to treatment and update patient files.
• Perform basic prescribed treatments such as applying ice packs or heat pads.
• Clean and sanitize equipment and therapy areas, ensuring safety and sanitation compliance.
• Perform administrative tasks, including ordering supplies, answering calls, and scheduling appointments.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
