Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Active, unrestricted California Pharmacy Technician License/Registration issued by the California State Board of Pharmacy.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Proficiency in pharmacy management systems and electronic prescription processing.
• HIPAA compliance and patient data confidentiality.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Professionalism and customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Process and enter prescriptions accurately (written, eRx, faxed, or refills).
• Verify prescription info and refill status; manage prior authorizations.
• Assist pharmacist with labeling and transfers per California law.
• Prepare medications and packaging, including compliance packaging.
• Handle third-party billing, claims, and inquiries with insurers.
• Support cashiering, patient intake, and immunization workflow.
• Provide Spanish-language translation as needed.
• Maintain inventory and 340B program documentation.
