Job summary

NorthTexas Therapy & Home Care in McKinney, TX seeks a bilingual SLPA to provide skilled speech therapy in pediatric home health and daytime facilities under physician orders. The role requires English/Spanish fluency and Texas SLPA licensure, with at least 6 months full-time clinical experience and pediatric exposure.

You will collaborate with diverse disciplines, schedule supervision visits with a supervising SLP, and contribute to care plans and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
• Current Texas SLPA licensure.
• 6 months of full-time clinical experience.
• Pediatrics experience.
• Home Health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders.
• Provides skilled speech therapy services/interventions in the patients home or daytime facility.
• Schedules weekly supervision visit(s) with his/her supervising SLP according to Texas board guidelines.
• Collaborates with all disciplines to plan and address team goals for each patient.
• Plans for care to meet goals of the speech therapy interventions.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Enhances speech therapy reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
