Job summary

North Texas Therapy & Home Care in Richardson, TX is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide skilled services at patients' homes or daytime facilities for ages 0–21, at least twice weekly, per physician orders.

The role involves diagnostic interpretation, collaboration with a multi-disciplinary team, and education of staff and caregivers. Clinical supervision may be available for experienced candidates, with a strong emphasis on pediatric care.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university.
• CCC-SLP clinical fellowship year completed.
• Licensed to practice Speech-Language Pathology in the state of Texas.
• Experience in pediatrics required.
• Home health experience preferred.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled speech therapy services in the home or daytime facility of patients 0-21 years of age, 2 or more times per week, in accordance with physician orders.
• Define patients degree and type of speech, language, voice, oral-motor, swallowing, feeding, auditory processing, and/or fluency impairment(s) by selecting and administering the most appropriate testing instruments.
• Interpret diagnostic data and prepare written diagnostic reports.
• In collaboration with the multi-disciplinary team, plan and evaluate team goals for each patient as well as advise, consult, and instruct team in specific speech therapy modalities and interventions.
• Plan for and modify care to meet goals of speech therapy interventions.
• Educate staff, caregivers, and patients by designing and delivering training, printed material/resources and in-service programs in accordance with a total speech therapy program.
• May provide supervision to Clinical Fellows of Speech Pathology and/or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants if you possess three or more years of experience.
