Job summary

Health West, Inc. in Pocatello, ID, seeks a Behavior Health Specialist to deliver behavioral health services integrated with primary care.

You will conduct intakes, provide individual, group, family therapy, and psychoeducation, using SBIRT, and collaborate with care managers and clinicians to adjust treatment plans. Licensed clinician, LMSW or LPC, will link patients to community resources, complete timely records, and participate in training.

Qualifications

• Licensed LMSW or Licensed Professional Counselor required.
• Ability to assess mental and behavioral conditions including substance use disorders.
• Ability to provide evidence-based psychotherapy and brief interventions.
• Ability to work with a multidisciplinary team including primary care providers and consulting psychiatrists.

Responsibilities

• Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families.
• Work with primary care providers to recognize, treat and manage mental disorders and related health problems.
• Comply with policies and participate in quality improvement activities.
• Provide training to clinic staff in mental health topics including counseling skills and confidentiality.
• Provide clinical assessments of behavioral health conditions and assist in prevention of relapse.
