Job summary

University of Miami is seeking a Patient Transporter 2 to safely and compassionately move patients and visitors throughout the facility. The role emphasizes first impressions, confidentiality, and efficient coordination with UHealth Tower staff to minimize delays and improve patient satisfaction.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• BLS Certification from the AHA is required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients/visitors between departments and to/from admissions and discharge.
• Ensures patient safety and privacy during transport and uses proper lifting techniques.
• Obtains and transports patient documents as needed.
• Assists in lobby to greet patients and directs them to destinations.
• Monitors patient status and communicates with nursing staff about any changes.
