Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Spanish is a must
• Certification in CPR and/or First Aid. Must be maintained throughout employment
• 1-year experience in an office providing physical therapy and/or chiropractic care
• Tact and skill in patient management
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to effectively interact with doctors, patients, and co-workers

Responsibilities

• Assist patients pre and post care by the D.C.
• Take vital signs of patients
• Perform physical therapy modalities as directed by the D.C.
• Document modalities performed and patient comments on progress notes
• Maintain cleanliness of exam and treatment rooms
• Monitor controls on physical therapy equipment
• Launder towels and related items
• Maintain inventory and order supplies
• Assist in general office operations including filing, chart prep, phones, registrations, and billing
• Travel to other locations to maintain coverage for quality patient care
• Travel to all locations within region if Floater role applies
• Prepare patients for exams and update medical records
• Coordinate administrative and non-clinical support for chiropractic providers
• Manage schedules and prior authorizations
• Liaise between providers and patients for appointment coordination and education
• Perform other duties as directed
