O'Reilly Auto Parts in Clinton, IN is seeking a Delivery Specialist responsible for operating store vehicles to deliver parts to professional customers safely and efficiently. The role also collects money on COD deliveries and processes returns.

You will use delivery fleet devices, keep vehicles clean, conduct daily inspections, and ensure security of vehicles and funds. The position may involve assisting customers at the register and supporting merchandising when needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.
• Must possess a legally required state driver's license and meet company mandated driving eligibility requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries and capture customer signatures.
• Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and perform daily vehicle inspections.
• Secure vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet cards, devices, and monies collected at all times.
• Pickup customer returns and complete driver return slips.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to store manager.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and vehicle is locked at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to company policy.
• Perform other duties including customer service, stocking, merchandising, and errands.
• May assist customers or serve as cashier when business dictates.
