O'Reilly Auto Parts is hiring a Delivery Specialist to operate store vehicles, deliver parts to professional customers, and collect payments for COD deliveries. The role includes daily vehicle inspections, maintaining security of monies and devices, and assisting with stocking and merchandising as needed.

Responsibilities include using handheld devices, ensuring customer satisfaction, and communicating issues to management.

Qualifications

• Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations.
• Driving record must meet the standard set in the company's 14/18-point record system.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Use delivery fleet management hand-held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update mileage, and complete daily inspections.
• Keep vehicles clean and maintained; complete daily inspections prior to operating.
• Keep delivery vehicles, keys, fuel cards, devices, and monies secure at all times.
• Pick up customer returns and fill out driver return slip.
• Communicate problems or special needs from customers to store management.
• Report vehicle maintenance needs or damage to the store manager immediately.
• Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock/secure vehicle at end of day.
• Clock in/out according to policy; perform other duties as assigned (stocking, merchandising, errands).
• May assist customers, serve as a cashier, and help with merchandising tasks when needed.
