Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a dedicated Parent Educator to deliver the Parents as Teachers curriculum through regular visits, both virtually and in person, supporting families with developmentally appropriate guidance and resources to promote child growth.

You will assess needs, recruit families, coordinate with the PAT team to design group connections, present research-based information, maintain accurate documentation in Visit Tracker, attend supervision, and pursue Born to Learn training to sustain

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with young children and families.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to conduct community recruitment and outreach.
• Independent, self-motivated with ability to work in community settings.
• Proficient computer skills with Microsoft 365 suite.

Responsibilities

• Provide parent education through regular personal visits both virtually and in person, implementing the Parents as Teachers curriculum
• Assess family’s needs and provide developmentally appropriate information, guidance, and support to parents
• Conduct required screenings under program guidelines and other requirements
• Lead monthly Group Connection events for families with PAT team
• Represent PAT program at community events supporting families/young children
• Coordinate services with Growing Home and community programs
• Recruit initial caseload and engage in recruitment activities
• Plan and document visits focused on parent-child interaction and family well-being
• Invite families to monthly group activities to build social connections
• Maintain and submit all required documentation to meet fidelity and funder requirements
• Organize supplies for visits and participate in supervision and team meetings
• Obtain Born to Learn training and PAT certification annually
• Participate in continuous quality improvement
