Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Store Associate to help customers in-store and by phone, assess needs, and recommend products. You will maintain product knowledge and ensure store standards while supporting sales goals.

Responsibilities include processing transactions, stocking shelves, tinting and mixing products, and assisting deliveries as needed. Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs and work evenings/weekends as required; bilingual in English/Spanish preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Able to read, write, and speak English.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
• Valid, unrestricted driver's license.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and 70 lbs occasionally.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and in line with policies.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse.
• Tint and mix products to customer specifications.
• Stock shelves and set up displays.
• Clean store equipment.
• Load/unload delivery trucks.
• Assist in making deliveries as needed.
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
