Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is seeking a Customer Service Specialist to assist customers in person and by phone, determine needs, and recommend the right paint solutions. You will help maintain high store standards and contribute to sales goals.

You must be at least 18, legally authorized to work in the United States, fluent in English and Spanish, and able to lift up to 70 lbs. A prior retail or paint-sales background is a plus. Evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English and Spanish.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 70 lbs on occasion.
• Willing to work evenings and weekends.
• Internal Sherwin-Williams employees must have a meets expectations rating and completed HR Cloud eLearning.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
• Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
• Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
• Process sales transactions accurately and in line with policies and procedures.
• Follow and achieve sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
• Maintain accurate work order files and formulas.
• Pull appropriate products from the sales floor or warehouse; tint and mix as needed.
• Stock shelves and set up displays; clean store equipment.
• Load/unload delivery trucks and assist in deliveries as needed.
• Maintain in-stock and presentable condition in assigned areas.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.
