Job summary

University of Washington is seeking a Temporary Program Coordinator (75% FTE) to support the Center for the Study of Health & Risk Behaviors. The role focuses on disseminating a Spanish-language online prevention program to young adults, coordinating outreach, and coordinating events across Washington State.

The position requires bilingual communication, strong organization, and the ability to travel for outreach activities, with daily emails and weekly progress updates to the team.

Qualifications

• Fluency in Spanish and English, including reading, writing and speaking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in outreach and/or customer service, especially with community organizations, public health, prevention, education or related fields.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Knowledge of social media platforms (especially Instagram) and basic Canva design skills.

Responsibilities

• Community Outreach and Partnership Development: Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies, organizations, schools, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders that represent Spanish-language communities in Washington State. Conduct in-person and online outreach in English and Spanish to prospective community partners to increase program awareness.
• Program Dissemination and Marketing: Coordinate and monitor posting and engagement for program social media accounts and advertising campaigns. Assist in the development of culturally and linguistically appropriate outreach materials, advertisements, and promotional content including translation from English to Spanish as needed.
• Event Coordination: Identify community events and outreach opportunities aligned with program goals. Coordinate participation in community events, including communication with event organizers, logistical planning, and event registration.
• Administrative and Fiscal Support: Monitor program email address daily and respond to inquiries. Manage invoices and maintain accurate financial records related to outreach and dissemination activities.
• Travel requirements: Must be willing and able to travel to support community outreach, dissemination, presentations, and partnership-building in communities across Washington State.
