Job summary

Rutgers University in Millville, NJ seeks a part-time Unit Admin Specialist to support a federally funded rural health project within the Family & Community Health Sciences dept. You will assist with health education programs, outreach, and participant engagement, while providing bilingual English/Spanish support and coordinating educational activities.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and two years of relevant experience, with the position on-site and up to 19.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Bilingual English/Spanish.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and experience working with diverse groups/clientele.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Internet, and cloud-based document sharing applications, on-line learning management systems; and reporting systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field and two years of relevant experience in research, education, and/or community outreach and development.

Responsibilities

• Assists with evidence-based health education programs and community outreach by recruiting participants and coordinating sessions.
• Supports report preparation and required project trainings and meetings.
• Assists with Faith in Prevention Networks and School Wellness Networks by coordinating partner recruitment and communications.
• Provides bilingual support (English/Spanish) for project activities, including translation and interpretation.
• Creates informational materials and supports research, data analysis, and documentation.
• Assists with general program operations, procurement of supplies, and scheduling educational events.
