Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in California is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, performing packaging, counting, pouring, or mixing of pharmaceuticals and related non-discretionary tasks. Responsibilities include placing products into containers, labeling, packaging and repackaging, with other duties as required.

Applicants must complete Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Program and hold a California license, and be bilingual (English/Spanish)

Qualifications

Must have completed Kaiser Outpatient Pharmacy Technician Program
Knowledge of drug forms, dosage strengths, and generic & trade name equivalents
Knowledge of Federal & State laws / regulations regarding pharmaceutical services
Ability to learn & operate the pharmacy computer system & other equipment
Ability to stand for long periods, with bending, lifting & reaching
Must pass entrance exam and background check
Bilingual (English/Spanish) Level II required.

Responsibilities

Under direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist, may perform packaging, manipulative, repetitive, & other non discretionary tasks, including removing drugs from stock, counting, pouring, or mixing pharmaceutical
Placing product into a container
Affixing label(s) onto container
Packaging & repackaging
Performs other duties as required
