Base pay range

$55,270.00/yr - $74,777.00/yr

As a Nutrition Educator, you are responsible forassistingin the successful implementation of the NJ SNAP Ed program, a grant funded nutrition education and physicalactivity-basedprogram, in key communities within the state. You will work cross-collaboratively with internal teams and external sites to support healthy communities. You will be traveling to different sites and locations 80% travel per week.

What you'll do in your role:

• Assistin meeting the grant funded nutrition education program goals by delivering health promotion efforts to target audiences that promote: Living physically active lifestyles, making healthy food choices on a limited budget, and decreasing the risk of nutrition related chronicdiseases
• Assistin development, planning, and implementation of nutrition education and related activities for multiple programs, including Direct Nutrition Education interventions and Policy, Systems & Environmental Change interventions targeting youth,adultsand seniors.
• Assistin the proper documentation, tracking and organization of program data, including outreach and implementation activities and material use.
• Participate andassistin the planning of team/regional/ SNAP-Ed all-staff trainings asrequested
• Represent the program and CFBNJ andparticipatein local and/or regional coalitions and community events asrequested.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degreeor related field alongprovidingnutrition and physical activity education in diverse community settings
• Must be willing to travel 80% of the week.
• Must be able to speak and teach in Spanish.
• Experienceprovidingsupervision and leadership to a team isrequired.
• Positive, can-do attitude, excellent communication, public speaking and interpersonal skills, a high degree of self-motivation
• Organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to plan, implement,monitorandreport outon program activities for self and team
• Technical aptitude (O365, Microsoft Word,Exceland PowerPoint)
• Mustpossesspersonal vehicle and valid driver's license
• Must be able to carry bulk materials as necessary, up to about 40 pounds
• Ability to work flexible hours; this position will have a varied work schedule that includes nights and weekends to meet the scheduling needs of partnering organizations and schools.
