Escuela de Guadalupe in Denver, CO is seeking a part-time Music Teacher who supports dual-language instruction in English and Spanish for PK-8 students. You will organize Mass songs, lead choir preparation, and accompany performances with piano or guitar while collaborating with staff and families.

Qualifications

• Teaching experience and a degree in Music Education or similar field.
• Experience leading, working with, or teaching a group of children.
• Excellent language skills in the specific component in which he/she will be teaching Either language.
• Authentic support of culturally rich and linguistically diverse learning communities.

Responsibilities

• Organize and prepare songs for Mass in Spanish and English, communicating with the Priest and accompanying on piano or guitar.
• Prepare choir students for weekly Mass, alternating songs in Spanish and English.
• Lead songs for special Masses and Catholic events such as Prayer Service and Las Posadas.
• Fully implement dual-language instruction across music areas; teach in Either language.
• Plan units with clear outcomes and share syllabi with families at the unit start.
