Job summary

CLS Health is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a multispecialty medical practice. The role supports patient care, rooming, taking vitals, and preparing charts to ensure safe and efficient visits.

Qualified candidates are bilingual, certified or registered, with at least two years of experience in a medical office or related setting. The position offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with a nationally recognized accreditation organization or graduate of an approved Medical Assistant program.
• Two years+ of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must be bilingual.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Rooming the patient.
• Interview/update patient’s chief complaint, medical history, medication list, and take vitals.
• Prepares patient charts a week in advance and verifies benefits reports.
• Scanning documents to appropriate patient charts.
• Stocking and cleaning rooms before clinic, after each patient, and at day end.
• Refill patient medications as directed and obtain pre-authorization.
• Ensure physician is in-network and referrals are up-to-date.
• Assist the physician in the exam room with wound care or procedures.
• Follow up on calls/voicemails and document conversations.
• Educate patients on DI, labs, referrals, and procedures.
• Schedule patients for upcoming appointments after visits.
• Obtain authorization prior to sending orders when needed.
• Distribute faxes to appropriate team members.
• Travel to other CLS Health locations.
• Perform related duties as required.
