Job summary

Madison Elementary in Warsaw, Indiana seeks a Multilingual Learner Paraprofessional to support English Learners as they develop academic English within the school setting.

Under the direct supervision of the ML teacher, you will provide language development support, assist in content-area classrooms, help students adapt to a new culture, participate in ML PLCs and staff development activities, and collaborate with the EL or classroom teacher.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish is desirable.
• High School Diploma or GED is required; 48 college credits or ParaPro assessment acceptable.
• Ability to work with students in small groups or classroom under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide English language development support under ML teacher supervision.
• Assist ML students with academic language in content and classroom settings.
• Help students adapt to a new culture and school routines.
• Attend ML PLCs and participate in staff development.
