Job summary

Sherwin-Williams in Decatur, IL is seeking a full-time Customer Service Specialist to help customers choose the right products and services while driving store sales. The role includes assisting customers in person and by phone, stocking shelves, tinting and mixing as needed, and delivering strong service standards.

Requires English and Spanish language skills, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs frequently.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.

Job Overview

Customer Service Specialists work closely with wholesale and retail customers to determine their needs, answer questions about Sherwin‑Williams products, recommend solutions, promptly resolve any customer concerns, and maintain the high quality and visual standards of the products and store. They are also expected to achieve excellent customer service while consistently meeting the store’s sales goals.

Location: Stores within a 5‑mile radius of Store #3165 located at 2705 N. Water St., Decatur, IL 62526.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Load/unload delivery trucks.
• Assist in making deliveries, as needed.
• Maintain in‑stock and presentable condition of assigned areas.
• Remain knowledgeable on products offered and discuss available options.
• Comply with inventory control procedures.
• Suggest ways to improve sales.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in English.
• Must be able to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish.
• Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver’s License.
• Must be able, with or without reasonable accommodation, to retrieve material from shelves and floor stacks and lift and carry up to 50 lbs. frequently and up to 70 lbs. on occasion.
• Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED.
• At least one year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service position.
• Experience selling paint and paint‑related products.
• Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
