Job summary

Wheeler Clinic, Inc. in Hartford, CT is seeking a Bilingual Crisis Clinician to provide crisis assessment, intervention and stabilization for children from birth through age 17, including mobile community-based services.

The role requires fluency in English and Spanish, licensure or license-eligibility (LPCA/LMFTA/LPC/LMFT/Psychologist), and a valid driver's license. Shift pattern includes two afternoon/evening slots with potential for hybrid work.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Psychology or Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Social Work, or Counseling.
• Candidate must be able to speak fluently in both English and Spanish.
• Must be licensed or license eligible LPCA, LMFTA, LPC, LMFT or Psychologist.
• If you are a MSW, a LMSW (permit or license) or LCSW will be required to begin employment.
• Valid Drivers License is required. Safely operates vehicle in the community, based on program needs

Responsibilities

• Conducts program specific screening and evaluation, and formulates diagnosis.
• Develops and documents clinical formulations, crisis and treatment plans with client/family.
• Provides mobile service in community settings outside of the office.
• Makes clinically appropriate referrals for identified service needs in a timely manner.
• Documents all client related information in compliance with policy and requirements.
• Attends required trainings and supervision and seeks supervision as needed.
