Job summary

Lutheran Community Services NW (LCSNW) is seeking a qualified professional to advance mental health outreach in Oregon. You will conduct screenings, diagnose conditions, and develop client-centered treatment plans within a trauma-informed, culturally competent framework.

The role requires a Master's in a related field, bilingual English/Spanish, and experience with group facilitation and program supervision. Join a mission-driven nonprofit serving health, justice and hope.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, Social Work, Psychology, or closely related field or ability to obtain within 6 months.
• Experience facilitating groups is a plus.
• Bilingual English and Spanish.
• Program management or supervision experience highly desired.
• Experience with diverse communities.
• Knowledge and professional experience in mental health field.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel and Credible is required.
• Familiarity with Oregon Administrative Rules for mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Conduct mental health screenings and assessments in the Latinx Outreach Program and determine treatment needs.
• Diagnose mental health conditions based on client reports using DSM guidelines.
• Facilitate development of treatment plans based on client strengths.
• Provide culturally appropriate, trauma-informed counseling to individuals, families, and groups.
• Apply evidence-based practices in treatment.
• Collaborate with client supports, including family and partner agencies.
• Represent the agency in the community.
• Coordinate with Mental Health Management for program operations and billing interfaces.
• Maintain positive relationships with referents and community partners.
• Identify and manage strategies for program efficiencies and contract performance.
• Serve as clinical support for the culturally specific peer support, with plan to supervise next year.
• Help monitor Latinx Outreach Program budget and contract fulfillment.
