Job summary

County of San Mateo is seeking an experienced Mental Health Program Specialist for the East Palo Alto Clinic (Spanish speaking preferred) to coordinate and supervise a behavioral health program and engage with community partners. The role includes leadership in staff supervision, program development, and quality improvement across diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Licensed in California as LCSW, LMFT, or Psychologist.
• Three years of experience as a mental health professional.
• Knowledge of program management, supervision and applicable laws.
• Experience serving youth and diverse populations.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate program activities with Division clinics, private providers, schools, and other agencies.
• Oversee Entry to Care process and Timely Access compliance.
• Establish procedures compliant with federal/state/local laws for mental health services.
• Monitor contract providers for compliance and resolve issues.
• Research and prepare grant proposals for mental health projects.
• Provide clinical supervision and liaison to contractees and staff.
• Manage Same-Day Assessments and related outreach activities.
