Qualifications

• High School/GED preferred.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• BLS certification required or must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Position requires travel, valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required.
• Bilingual – English/Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Promotes the facility mission, vision and values in daily work.
• Record patients' medical history, vitals and information in medical records.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations and keep them clean.
• Interview patients to obtain medical information and measure vitals.
• Authorize drug refills and provide prescription information to pharmacies.
• Prepare and administer medications as directed by a physician.
• Assist physician in the room and translate for patient/physician as needed.
• Explain treatment procedures and instructions to patients.
