Job summary

Biogensys is hiring a bilingual Medical Assistant in Kissimmee, FL. The role supports nurses in care and treatment, conducts health screenings, and assists with immunization schedules in the school health program.

Candidates should be fluent in English/Spanish, proficient with medical terminology, and experienced with patient interviews, records, and basic computer software. Prior pediatric office exposure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bilingual: English/Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
• Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.
• BLS CPR preferred.
• Knowledge of basic computer software.
• Skilled with medical instruments or testing equipment.
• Ability to take blood pressure readings.
• Able to interview patients and obtain a medical history.
• Ability to keep accurate records.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• History of working in a pediatric office setting.
• History completing vision, hearing and other screenings.
• History working with FL Shots/Immunization scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Assists nurses in care and treatment of clients.
• Performs health screenings, record reviews, and health education in the school health program.
• Communicates with clients, takes history, and assists with examinations.
• Monitors immunization schedules (FL SHOTS and HMS) and completes related trainings.
• Keeps medical equipment clean and maintains supplies inventory.
• Organizes paperwork and prepares for the next day.
• Communicates with community partners to coordinate screenings and document follow-ups.
