Job summary

US Foot & Ankle Specialists in Omaha, NE is seeking a Bilingual Medical Assistant to join our podiatry practice. You will welcome patients, support physicians, and provide hands-on clinical care in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Fluency in English and Spanish is required to effectively communicate with our diverse patient population. Hands-on and ongoing clinical training are provided to help you grow your skills and advance in the clinic.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish required, fluent in both languages.
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program OR 1+ year of clinical experience.
• CMA or RMA certification preferred.
• Experience with medical terminology.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to travel between local office locations, as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome, room, and prepare patients for exams and in-office procedures
• Take vitals, update medical histories, record medications/allergies, and document in the EMR
• Assist physicians with minor procedures, post-op care, digital X-rays, and basic podiatric services
• Apply dressings, DME, and provide patient instructions and education
• Manage lab specimens, complete insurance verifications and pre-authorizations, and process prescriptions as directed
• Make post-operative phone calls, answer patient questions, and provide excellent customer service
• Open, prep, clean, and close exam rooms; sterilize instruments; manage inventory and supplies
• Maintain accurate documentation, support back-office operations, and ensure HIPAA compliance
