CLS Health in Houston, TX is seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for our multispecialty medical practice. The assistant will support care delivery, room patients, take vitals, manage charts, and assist physicians with exams and procedures to ensure safe, efficient care.

Responsibilities include coordinating patient intake, updating records, handling referrals and pre-authorizations, scheduling follow-ups, and maintaining a clean, stocked clinical area. Fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Certified or Registered Medical Assistant with national accreditation.
• Two years+ of experience as a Medical Assistant.
• Must be bilingual.
• Experience in a medical office or customer service environment preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other computer applications.

Responsabilités

• Rooming the patient, interview/update chief complaint, medical history, medication list, and vitals.
• Prepare patient charts a week in advance and verify benefits reports; scan documents.
• Follow up on calls/voicemails and document phone log/conversation; educate patient on DI, labs, referrals, and procedures.
• Schedules patients for upcoming appointments after physician sees the patient; obtain authorization before sending orders.
• Main fax line; distribute faxes to appropriate team members; travel to other CLS Health locations; perform related duties.
