Qualifications

• High School graduate or G.E.D. preferred.
• Completion of Medical Assistant program required.
• BLS certification required or obtained within 90 days of hire.
• Bilingual English/Spanish required.
• Must read, write and speak English; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic administrative and clinical medical assisting functions.
• Assist in obtaining patient history, chief complaint and vital signs.
• Schedule, coordinate and monitor appointments.
• Adhere to managed care policies and procedures.
• Maintain rooms neat and stocked with supplies.
• Assist physician with in-office procedures and wound care.
• Ensure timely communication of results and prescriptions.
